Respecting the rules
Outbound calls must follow Canadian law, including the CRTC's Unsolicited Telecommunications Rules, the National Do Not Call List where it applies, and Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) for any follow-up texts or emails. In practice, that means calling people who have an existing relationship with your business or who asked to be contacted, identifying your business at the start of the call, and honouring requests not to be called. We set up outbound calling with those rules in mind, and you remain responsible for who you ask the receptionist to call.
